Guardian of the County

The Guardian of the County Award is the highest honor presented by the Champaign County Emergency Management Agency. Established in 2026, it recognizes first responders and public safety personnel who demonstrate extraordinary courage, sacrifice, teamwork, and commitment to protecting human life. This award honors those who go beyond the call of duty and serve as lasting examples of bravery, leadership, and public service in Champaign County.
